Erika Manczak

Erika Manczak received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, in 2017 and completed her clinical internship at the University of Illinois-Chicago. At the broadest level, Erika is interested in the biological and psychological mechanisms through which family relationships confer risk for mental and physical health disorders. Drawing on a background in psychoneuroimmunology, she has primarily examined cellular inflammation processes as key pathways of risk. Her postdoctoral research at Stanford is focused on investigating the interplay between cellular and social processes in the context of youth depression.
