Julian Joachimsthaler

Juli is a research coordinator for the Early Life Stress Study. He graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2022. Juli worked as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. June Gruber’s Positive Emotion and Psychopathology Lab where he completed a senior thesis examining happiness beliefs associations with clinical mood severity and well-being in emerging adults. He is interested in exploring the behavioral and biological impacts of childhood adverse experiences on neurodevelopment, with a particular emphasis on examining the role emotion-related processes play in driving an increased vulnerability to psychopathology. In his free time, Juli enjoys watching soccer games, listening to live music, and hiking in nature.
