Lara Foland-Ross

Foland-RossLara completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at UCLA in 2010 where she studied the neural mechanisms of emotion in adults. Eager to apply her research training to children, Lara elected to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in our laboratory, where she studied the neural markers of a risk for depression as well as how adverse childhood experiences influence brain development in ways that track with an increased risk for disturbances in mental and physical health. Lara currently works in the Department of Psychiatry, where she is helping to uncover the neural correlates of a variety of psychological, genetic and medical abnormalities in children.
