Michelle Sanabria

Michelle was born in Miami, Florida and attended Florida State University where she received a B.S. in Psychology, minoring in Biology and a B.S. in Media Communication Studies, minoring in Philosophy. During her undergraduate career, Michelle worked on research at the FSU School of Medicine’s Autism Institute, the Kaschak Cognitive Lab, and Thomas Joiner’s Laboratory for the Study and Prevention of Suicide-Related Conditions and Behaviors. After graduating, Michelle volunteered with children and adults in Indonesia and India working to improve mental health in rural communities. She joined the Gotlib Lab in August 2017 as a full-time research coordinator working for the Early Life Stress study and assisting in other projects. Michelle’s research interests include assessing biomarkers of risk and resilience and developmental psychopathology in children and adolescents. Outside the lab, Michelle enjoys eating, traveling, and spending time on creative endeavors.
