Sara Bergman

Sara Bergman is a 2nd-year graduate student in the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Lab. She is broadly interested in understanding what puts individuals at risk for affective disorders. Her research focuses on the neural basis of emotional and cognitive processes that have been linked to the etiology of depression and anxiety. Before arriving at Stanford, she graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Psychology, and later joined the Huettel Lab at Duke University where she studied the structural and functional neural properties of affect in healthy and clinical populations. When she’s not in the lab, Sara likes to spend time outdoors and play with dogs.
