Gautam Prasad

Gautam received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2013 from the University of California, Los Angeles. His graduate work focused on structural MRI segmentation techniques using tools from the field of artificial life to delineate the brain along with white matter analysis techniques in diffusion MRI to study Alzheimer’s disease, heritability, sex differences, and 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. His current research at the Imaging Genetics Center at the University of Southern California involves using machine learning and mathematical tool to develop novel brain connectivity based biomarkers in depression, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.
