Akua is a third-year graduate student in the Neurosciences PhD Program. She is interested in the neural basis of major depressive disorder (MDD). Akua graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and Psychology. Outside of lab, Akua enjoys listening to music, watching movies, dancing, and hanging out with friends.
