Amar Ojha

Amar grew up in Rocky Hill, CT and graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in Neuroscience and Philosophy in May 2017. During his time as an undergrad, Amar worked at the Mandell Center for Multiple Sclerosis and the Georgetown Laboratory for Relational Cognition. As a Research Coordinator and member of Scan Team, Amar helps run structural and functional brain scans for adults, teens, children, and babies, and helps coordinate a new adolescent study that examines brain structure, function, and metabolites in teens with depression. In the future, he plans to pursue graduate studies in neuroscience with an interest in how affective processes influence social behavior. Outside of the lab, Amar can be found exploring San Francisco and the Bay Area, cooking, and spending time with friends and animals.
