Matthew Sacchet is a doctoral candidate in the Stanford Neurosciences Program where he primarily works with Professor Ian Gotlib. The objective of Matthew’s research is to understand neural properties of Major Depression and related psychopathology. To this goal he uses structural and functional neuroimaging in combination with computational, clinical, and behavioral methods. Recent projects have included: 1) characterizing abnormalities in white matter fascicles and related connectivity; 2) classifying disordered and nondisordered individuals using machine learning; 3) predicting changes in clinical symptoms using neural indexes; and 4) integrating literature using meta-analytic methods.
